Annual Bike Ride to Raise Funds for City's Reforestation Projects
Tour de Houston Presented by Apache Corporation

Tour de Houston presented by Apache Corporation is a fundraising bike ride that benefits Houston's Reforestation Program. The ride will take place Sunday, April 3, 2022. This annual event offers Houstonians and visitors a unique way to view the city with bike routes winding through Houston’s historic neighborhoods, scenic districts, and parks. With three ride length options, the Tour de Houston is the perfect event for leisure riders or cycling enthusiasts. 

This event begins and ends in Hermann Square at City Hall located at 901 Bagby, Houston. Riders can also enjoy a post-ride party that includes music, free food, and beverages.

NOTE: If you registered for the 2020 ride and deferred your registration, DO NOT re-register for the 2022 ride. Your 2020 registration is still active. If you registered for the 2020 ride and received a refund or donated your registration fees to Re-Plant Houston, you must re-register to participate in the 2022 ride. Please contact us with any questions regarding a 2020 registration. 

Riders please note:  The tunnels along Memorial Drive in the eastbound lanes are finally open. Cyclists will be able to ride through the tunnel on their return to City Hall. PLEASE DO NOT STOP. Enjoy your ride but do not stop for photos. Thank you and be safe!


Tour de Houston presented by Apache is produced by the Mayor’s Office of Special Events. Funds raised through the Tour de Houston support Re-Plant Houston, a reforestation program of the Houston Parks and Recreation Department. We encourage your further support of this effort by making an additional donation with your registration.


Event shirts are not included in the price of registration. Shirts are available for $10 and can be purchased during registration. A limited number will be available during packet pickup and on Ride Day.


2022 Tour de Houston bike jerseys are available to purchase for $60. Click here to order! Jerseys are not guaranteed to be available for purchase on Ride Day. Purchased jerseys can be picked up at early packet pickup or the morning of the Ride. JERSEYS WILL NOT BE SHIPPED.

Event Info:
Sunday, April 3, 2022

  • 6:30 a.m.: Check-in and Registration
  • 7:30 a.m.: 60 Mile Ride*
  • 8:00 a.m.: 40 Mile Ride*
  • 8:15 a.m.: 20 Mile Ride*

No riders will be allowed to leave the Start Line after 8:30 a.m. Please arrive on time. Routes are secured until 1:00 p.m. After that time, riders have the option to hop on the sag wagon or continue the ride without support. 

Rider Support

All rest stops will provide water, Gatorade, oranges, bananas, plus sweet and salty snacks. Portalets will be stationed at every rest stop. Sun & Ski Sports will be onsite at City Hall and at each rest stop to assist with bike needs. Sag wagons will be on route should a rider need a ride back to City Hall.

Registration Information:

  • February 17 - March 11: $40 (13 and older)
  • March 12 - April 2: $45 (13 and older)
  • April 3: $50 (13 and older)
  • Kids 12 and Under: $25 through Ride Day


*Online registration closes at 8:00 a.m. on April 3, 2022. Walk-up registration will open at 6:30 a.m. on April 3, 2022. The registration tent will be located on Walker St.
